Debre Markos University Celebrates students welcome colorfully

Debre Markos University welcomes students for 2011 academic year colorfully. The students welcoming programme is organized by Debre Markos University Students’ Union and Marda Advertising and Promotion, which aimed at ensuring peaceful learning teaching environment.

During the occasion, the president of Debre Markos University Dr. TafereMelaku, expresses that the University is highly ready to satisfy the students in service delivery. The university aims to deliver peaceful learning teaching environment in the campus without bothering about the services of the university. According to Dr. Tafere, students are the primary customer of the university; so that they university top management and leaders are always works to create conducive learning environment. Thus, respecting diversity, academic debate, innovativeness, social responsibility and consolidating ethical manner is the main assets of the University, he added.

The Head of Debre Markos Mayor office Mr. AsmeromMosneh on his part states fragile political speculations may distort the stability of the campus. So it is expected to scrutinize any information that is posted in social media or transmit somewhere because the consequence of distorting peaceful learning environment has a psychological and social disaster of the students and family. As a city administration, feel at home and focus on learning, Mr. Asmerom added.

The religious fathers during the welcome ceremony say that students of the university has refrain themselves from illogical and emotionally senseless activities that disturbs the peaceful learning environment. Therefore, as a student it is better to focus on learning attributes that are the dream of everyone and the hope of families.

Music and marshal art sport were part of the welcome programme.
