Debre Markos University graduates 7157 students for the tenth round

Eyilachew Getachew, Debre Markos University students’ council president, on his speech says that education is a key tool that many countries developed.

Cognizant of this, our country Ethiopia, adheres special concern for education so as to improve its people by knowledge, skill and attitudinal changes ultimately to insure for countries development. Dramatically, this scenario contributes multiple-significance for the country in general and the people who are attending their education in particular. On this regard, several students are trying to attend their schooling nearby.

For that matter, as Debre Markos University is one of the thirteen second generation universities ,has taught and graduated above 20,000 students since its establishment. Yet, Debre Markos University students council plays pivotal shares on its achievement and educational journey especially on preserving peace and security to secure peaceful learning environments. Eyilachew additionally message the students to act ethically, honestly and responsibly for county’s development.

Dr.Tafere Meleku, Debre Markos University president, on his welcoming and advisee speech congratulates students for their successful accomplishment of the long educational processes of different graduation periods though they face difficulties time and again.Besides, Dr.Tafere acknowledge graduates for their patience and achievements with many derivatives of resources.

It was crystally clear that, our country Ethiopia has faced many problems especially of political instabilities for the last three years back. Challenging such problems, students are successfully completing their education with the spirit of tolerance, respecting and appreciating the diversities. But, its time that the people in Ethiopia are massively going on respective and tolerating each other with especial recognition of nations and nationalities underneath. Passing through all this impediments, currently, Debre Markos University is attending more than 30 thousand students in all streams.

This many amount of students are solely achieved with the strong commitment and endeavor of teachers, admin workers and the communities in the town as a whole. All these concerned bodies were contributed the lion share for students’ accomplishment through times.

Dr.Tafere also explains that Debre Markos University is going to do multi- faceted activities to provide quality education with strong commitments and thereof we are trying that.

Mr. Tegibew Wale, Debre Markos University Bure campus dean, on his turn happily messages that Debre Markos University bure campus graduates students for three consecutive periods now. On the beginning, the campus graduates 181 students on 4 departments, but now 562 students are graduating in 2018.

Widening its horizon, currently; Bure campus is hosting more than 3000 students. On its journey, the campus opend many departments and significantly contributes to the community living around so that provides advantages on  research, consultation and other supports materially and morally.

Lastly, mr. Tegbew advises graduates as they are coming to the mass community, they must challenge problems and difficulties when go through, so they must behave and act wisely and systematically so that they serve their respective community responsibly.

Professor woldeamilak  Bewket, Debre Markos university board member and the respective guest of the day  on passing his message to the graduates talks that, as graduates face several difficulties, and other awkward of their school journey  and therefore played their scarifications to their pioneer success. Thence, he congratulated the graduates warmly.

Meanwhile, graduated students are about to coming country leaders and actual disciplined workers for the country’s development with economic, social, political, cultural and other affairs.

Therefore, prof.Wolde Amilak keenely advised graduates to serve their community honestly and prudently.  Lastly, he told graduates to improve themselves learning from their environment  formally and informally besides serving the mass community enthusiastically.

Finally, dr.Tafere  referring the past failures : delayance of constructions ,water and electricity problems, stubborn bureaucracy, less research habits, somehow  recklessness, inhospitable students and teachers recreational centers and others would hurriedly be improved. On the same tone, graduates shouldn’t agree less on protecting of their country development so that they see the prosperous Ethiopia.
