New Student

1. Complete Grade 12 with the old curriculum

  • ESLCE result
  • male 3.2 and above
  • female 3.0 and above
  • Graduated with diploma

2. Complete Grade 10 with the new curriculum or Grade 12 with the old curriculum

  • Level 4 or diploma completed with the new training policy of Ethiopia
  • Issued with COC (two years of service for students completing their diploma in Agriculture and teaching)

3. Complete preparatory school

  • Meet at least the cut-off point which is set by the Federal Ministry of Education, Ethiopia.

4. Degree complete

  • Graduated with first or above degrees in any field of study

Transfer Student

  • students from other accredited higher education institutions can be admitted to our University if the request is made to the same field of study and if the case is informed to the University before or during the registration period and get the approval of the academic units

Summer Student

  • admission can usually be made from end of June to the beginning of July in order to keep the students’ file active.
  • failing to maintain admission without officially withdrawing from the program will be considered as dropping from the program.

Distance Student

  • Admission can only be made at the beginning of each semester in order to keep the students’ file active.
  • Failing to maintain admission without officially withdrawing from the program will be considered to as dropping from the program.

Continuing education

Aiming at creating higher education opportunities for Ethiopians who otherwise are denied of it, the university is offering undergraduate education in weekend and summer modalities. The currently ongoing programs are described below
