School of Medicine was established and officially started teaching medical students on Yekatit 12, 2004 E.C. by accepting 79 medical students. The school of medicine is a new yet strong school in medical education aiming to be a leader. It is one of the medical schools in Ethiopia that adopts the new innovative medical education curriculum. It adopts the problem based learning curriculum, as well as integration with basic sciences and between basic and clinical sciences
