Haddis Alemayehu Cultural Studies institute is established to plan, organize, implement, direct and evaluate studies (researches) related to culture. The institute shifts its focus from cultural studies institute to cultural center.

Haddis Alemayehu Cultural Studies institute has established Archive Center. In this regard there is a good start on the establishment of the archive center and archives with various issues since 1930s have been collected and organized in different disciplines. These archives contain invaluable information that can serve as good background information for further research.
