Research and community service

The school is responsible for teaching learning process and engaged in research and community services to contribute what is expected from it for the country’s development as a whole.

In 2014 E.C, 22 research proposals were submitted. From these, 13 research proposals were selected and waiting for budget since it is pended to the next year budget due to war in the northern part of Ethiopia. Researches are published by groups and individuals.

In addition, community services are executed by school staffs like;

  • Design of buildings
  • Design of bridges
  • Design of roads
  • Giving trainings
  • Consulting and supervision
  • Preparation of bill of quantities
  • Material quality tests
  • Water quality and flood controls
  • Environmental impact assessment for buildings
  • Water Spring Development
  • Preparation of architectural plans
  • Etc
