(Hamle 17\u201318, 2018 EC). Alongside with the evaluation, a campus tour was conducted to inspect construction projects and other activities carried out at the university during the year.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1019\" height=\"314\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dmu.edu.et\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6393\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dmu.edu.et\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-5.png 1019w, https:\/\/www.dmu.edu.et\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-5-300x92.png 300w, https:\/\/www.dmu.edu.et\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-5-768x237.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1019px) 100vw, 1019px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the visit, board members primarily observed the university\u2019s project execution processes, the overall operations of the Community School and the Health Campus under the institution, as well as the activities of the Choke Enterprise, which serves as a revenue generating entity for the university.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Based on the operational activities observed during the tour, the members set future operational directions on key issues that the institution should focus on going forward.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the meeting, the university\u2019s annual budget report for the 2018 EC. was presented and thoroughly reviewed, with in-depth discussions held regarding executed financial operations, projects, and revenue-generating initiatives. Following the evaluation of the 2018 fiscal year report, the plan for the 2019 fiscal year, which focuses on areas where the institution can be even more effective, was presented and similarly discussed at length.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"972\" height=\"256\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dmu.edu.et\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-7.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6395\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dmu.edu.et\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-7.png 972w, https:\/\/www.dmu.edu.et\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-7-300x79.png 300w, https:\/\/www.dmu.edu.et\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-7-768x202.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 972px) 100vw, 972px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Her Excellency Shewit Shanka, Minister of Culture and Sport and Chairperson of the Managing Board, attended the performance evaluation and discussion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She reviewed the presented reports and plans, outlining future priority directions in detail.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the meeting it was noted that this annual performance review, campus tour, and evaluation of the 2019 fiscal year&nbsp; budget plan will contribute significantly to strengthening the quality of education at the university, enhancing research and community service activities and boosting internal revenue-generating capacity.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Debre Markos University Managing Board evaluated the institution&#8217;s overall operational performance for the 2018 Fiscal Year from July 24 to 25, 2026 G.C.
