Message From CBE Dean
It gives me great pleasure to write this message on the behalf of Debre Markos University, college of Business and Economics, which works on teaching, research and community service. It has three active undergraduate and five postgraduate programs. We have Economics, Accounting and finance, management active programs in undergraduate, and marketing and hospitality & tourism management in progress. MA in business administration, Accounting and finance, economics, project planning & management and MSC in development economics are the postgraduate programs in the college. There will be additional undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the near future based on the market demand.
College of business and Economics has the regular, extension, summer and distance programs in undergraduate while regular, extension and summer programs in postgraduate. We have highly calibrated and competent lecturers and assistance professors.
The College attracts top quality students and engages them in the highest level of education. . Due to this, our students are competent everywhere they go.
Recognizing that career path change continually , the best preparation for the future of work is to gain an understanding of all aspects of business, including leadership, entrepreneurship, data analysis, decision making, negotiation, conflict resolution, consumer behavior, finance, accounting, development concepts, the economy, trade, and marketing.
Business skills and knowledge apply to all aspects of the economy, such as health sector, agriculture, trade, government, education, and corporations. Having a wide range of foundational knowledge, gives students a competitive edge to meet the needs of an ever-changing world.
