University Senate

Senate of Debre Markos University is the second level decision maker regarding affairs of the university next to the Management Board. The Senate is chaired by the President and constitutes of Vice Presidents, Deans, Directors, President of Teachers Association and President of Student Union. Legal existence of the Senate emanates from article 49, 50 and 51 of the Higher Education Proclamation. Moreover, it functions its duties guided by the Senate Legislation of the university and other relevant regulations. Below is the list of the previous and the current Senate Members since the establishment of the university.
