Leaders Forum Evaluates the report of 2009 Plan Execution

DMU: Debre Markos University has conducted leaders’ forum to evaluate the implementation of the budget year plan under the Presence of the university leaders on August 4/2017.

The Evaluation was led by Dr. Nigussie Mitiku, Debre Markos University President, whereas the yearly report was reported by Aklilu Getachew, program design, monitoring and evaluation expert in the University.

The report contained the overall activities implemented in the year substantially. On the same token, the cognitive, psychomotor, affective and material input constraints as well practitioners’ implementation weakness and strength have also been screened out.

Quality education, research and community service vis-a-vis good governance, coordination and partnerships aiming to promote students and staff benefit and enhancing the satisfaction level of customers were projected during the report.

Organizing educational development army has been done in the preliminary, implementation and closing chapters of the fiscal year effectively.  Cooperative working, strong personnel, adequate input, coordinated leadership mythology were noticed to how achieve quality education sustainable.

The exemplary practices of the year are plan-oriented implementation, cooperativeness, the presence of updated trainings, enhancement of female teachers’ leadership and research skills, and conduct researches in groups.  There are also some limitations and problems, which are taken as a lesson to improve in the coming year accomplishments. On the report, assuring quality education, reducing attrition rate, improving the participations of female students’, empowering problem solver researches, offering community service, strengthening national and foreign relations, following and appraising projects  have seen as  homework of the university.

Eventually, taking the closing year implementation in to consideration, the 2010 budget year plan is discussed and endorsed massively.
