Debre Markos University agrees to Train Biomedical Laboratory Technicians

Dmu: Debre Markos University and Human Bridge Biomedical College sign Memorandum of Understanding to train Biomedical Laboratory Technicians in 15,122,000/fifteen million one hundred twenty two birr/ funded by Federal Ministry of Health.

On the occasion, Assistant professor Genet Degu, Debre Markos University Research and Community Service Vice President says that the MOU helps to produce skilled laboratory technicians who can play significant role in alleviating regional and national problems related with medical laboratory equipment utilization and maintenance.

On the other hand, Human Bridge Biomedical College Dean Mr. AlemYitayew states that the college has an experience of admitting biomedical technicians and graduated and placed Medical Laboratory Technicians since 2015. Thereby, the graduates are putting their finger prints in maintaining medical laboratory equipment as per their theoretical and practical trainings. Therefore, this tripartite agreement, which is sponsored by Ministry of Health, is crucial to increase the technicians’ knowledge, skill and attitude to prosper the dealing with medical equipment in collaboration with DMU.

The agreement is for three years, 2018-2021.
