HaddisAlemayehu Institute of Cultural Studies Inaugurates a book

DMU: Haddis Alemayehu Institute of Cultural Studies inaugurates a book entitled ‘KesaterawGirgie’ written by Mr. Desalegne Ketsela, Debre Markos University Theatrical Arts Instructor.

During the inauguration the president of Debre Markos University Dr. Tafere Melaku says that academicians ought to engage on writing and for those who are writing different books the University has a tremendous support. Dr. Tafere also briefs that scholars in academic world shall spend their time on reading books and writing a review or an original manuscript that publish for a readership.

Haddis Alemayehu Institute of Cultural Studies organizes an inauguration ceremony that enables amateurs to improve their skills, Dr, Tafere added. Expressing his appreciation to instructor Dessalegn Ketsela, Dr Taferere affirms as the author will present other books to the community.

The vice president for Research and Community Service of Debre Markos University Assistant Professor Genet Degu on her side states that accreditation to the authors is one of the missions of Haddis Alemayehu Institute of Cultural Studies. Assistant Professor Genet also states that in spite of the decreasing of reading habit from time to time books like ‘KesaterawGergie’ makes writers to write books. A book written by Mr. Desalegne incorporates things about our every day’s life. Hence, all workers of the university should have the book and read it, she added.

Debre Markos University English Language and Literature Assistant Professor Demeke Tasew (PhD), presents a review over the book to the participants. According to Dr. Demeke, the poems in the book has given due  attention for the selection of  meaningful  words, the style, attraction, and others to hold the attention of the readers in order to cope up with this dynamic world.
