DMU: Debre Markos University Gender, HIV.AIDS and Disability Directorate in collaboration with Ethiopian Human Rights Commission Bahir Dar Center Commemorates the International white Ribbon day.
The Day is celebrated with a panel discussion. Mr. Alemayehu Mulate, from Debre Markos University Sociology department and Mr. Yenework Mengest from Ethiopian Human Rights Commission present a paper about the day’s international and national goals and procedures.
It is noted that, HIV AIDS has a huge social, psychological and economic impact on human beings since its existence in 1992.International Disability Day has celebrated every December to improve the inclusiveness and participation of people with disability in all endavours.
White Ribbon Dayhas celebrated for the 27thround internationally and 26thround nationally under the theme” Empower Disabilities to ensure inclusiveness and equality”.
