Public Health Programs

Background:

It is known that the government has been working to increase the number of health professionals in all parts of Ethiopia since a decade ago. As a result the department of public was opened as one of the pioneer department in the college of health sciences, Debre Markos University in 2001 E.C. Currently, the department of public health has more than 160 undergraduate and over 250 postgraduate students and nearly 60 academic staffs .The department is teaching students in the main and Bure campus through a regular, evening and summer programs. The department currently has 4 postgraduate programs: GMPH; MPH Nutrition, MPH RH, and MPH Epidemiology specialists are planning to open another 5 more postgraduate and 1 PhD programs in the future.
