DMU: Economically vulnerable students who are attending their education at Debre Markos University are getting different supports. Debre Markos University Gender, HIV/AIDS and disabilities directorate director Mrs. Yewulsew Melak explains that there are many poor and helpless students in the university who cannot afford to pay for their educational and other hygiene materials. Because of this, the directorate is giving money and materials such as photocopy service/support for 200 disabilities, Students with HIV and orphans with the collaboration of Path Finder and CVM Ethiopia.

According to Mrs. Yewulsew explanation, students who are getting support from directorate are began and able to keep their hygiene and fulfill educational materials. Consequently, this helps the students to endorse their study without psychological challenges, instability, and stress and ultimately protect themselves from bad habits and addictions.

Besides, Mrs. Yewulsew explains that the directorate is currently working hard to build its capacity through generating their own income as well as to access several students that are incapable of serving themselves by doing different activities like shop rent and pool houses.

Students on their turn figure out that the support being given is helping them to improve their result and assertiveness. Hence, they noticed that such type of support should have to continue for other economical poor and helpless students to retain their attention solely on their study.
